# How do I edit an already existing Reservation or Agreement?

## Steps to open an existing rental agreement or reservation, make changes, and save them in RentWorks+.

##### Log in

**1.** Log in to RentWorks+.

##### Navigate to Rental Agreements

**2.** From the sidebar, select **Rental Agreements**.

To edit a reservation instead, select **Reservations**, directly above Rental Agreements in the sidebar.

##### Select the rental agreement

**3.** The **Rental Agreements** screen lists contracts by status: **Open**, **Closed**, **Voided**, **Overdue**, and **All**. Use the search bar to find a contract by RA number, customer name, vehicle, or license number, then click the rental agreement to open it.

##### Start editing the rental agreement

**4.** On the rental agreement, click **Edit**.

##### Make your changes

**5.** The rental agreement opens in edit mode. Update any section as needed, for example:

- **Pickup & Return Details**: check-out and check-in locations, pickup date and time, and due date and time
- **Vehicle Exchange**: reserved and rented vehicle class, or swap the vehicle with **Exchange Vehicle**
- **Renter & Additional Driver Selection**: the primary renter and any additional drivers
- **Rates & Charges**: the rate, coverage options, and miscellaneous charges
- **Rental Details**: replacement, rental reason, PO #, and referral #

The summary panel on the right shows the rental's charges, payments, and balance due.

##### Save the changes

**6.** Each change you make is listed under **Pending — not yet saved** in the summary panel, and the **Save changes** button shows how many changes are pending. Click **Save changes** to apply them to the rental agreement. The button stays disabled until you make a change. To discard your changes instead, click **Cancel** and confirm.
